#MyBlackExperience

Rules:

1. (OPTIONAL) Print out the card or write #MyBlackExperience on a piece of paper
2. Take a selfie with or without the card. 
3. Write a story either on the picture or as part of a status/caption that explains your black experience in a situation where you felt your race played a part in the outcome. We are looking for negative experiences but we woould like to also see some positive ones.  #MyBlackExperience

NOTE: This exercise is for black indiviudals who don't mind their photo being shared.

Examples:
  • Many of my white friends tell me how every time they get pulled over they get a warning. Everytime I've gotten pulled over I get a ticket.  #MyBlackExperience
  • I'll never know if I got into college because of how hard I worked or because of affirmative action.  #MyBlackExperience.
  • Every time I walk downtown I get stopped by police officers who ask me about my day.  #MyBlackExperience.
  • I'm always asked if my children are related.  #MyBlackExperience
